John Huffam Charles Dickens was the most popular novelists of the Victorian era and contributed to the introduction of social criticism in English literature from fiction. The fame of his novels and stories can be proved by the fact that all his books continue to be edited. Among the major classical-to-do "Oliver Twist", "A Christmas Carol" and "David Copperfield."

Dickens was born on a Friday in the city of Moure (county of Hampshire, England), son of John Dickens, official squander the Navy, and his wife Elizabeth Barrow.
